About

I’ve been growing Cherokee Purple tomatoes for the past few years in the hot climate of Arkansas, USA. It’s usually wet in the spring and dry in the summer. Temperatures routinely go above 90 F (32 C) for a couple months each summer. Tomatoes don’t like it that hot while in direct sunlight, but the garden here still manages to put out many tomatoes before and after the heat wave each summer. I plan to grow this variety of tomato every year, as it is my current favorite.
